A growing firm of solicitors has strengthened its range of legal services with the appointment of a family law specialist.

Alison Skene has joined Coles Solicitors in Northallerton, North Yorkshire, as a consultant offering family law advice. Her arrival brings the total number of Coles solicitors to seven, enabling it to offer a full range of services to clients old and new across its core area of North Yorkshire, Teesside and South Durham.

Alison, who qualified in 1992, also assists other local law firms as a consultant family law expert. She said: “I am excited by the opportunity to work with Coles and to assist their clients through what is often a difficult time in their lives, giving them the information that will allow them to make important decisions about their futures. “I will be offering potential clients a free initial 30 minutes to make sure I am the right person for them.” Alison, who lives in Darlington, can advise on a diverse range of relationship issues, from pre-marital agreements and living together agreements to the fall-out resulting from relationship breakdowns, separations and divorce, including advice about the care of children, family finances, and the sharing of pensions assets.
